A Real Must Win Situation . . . Finally

So many times games are characterized as a ‘must win situation’.  But tonight the Celtics find themselves in the first real must win situation of the 2011 season.  It’s win or go home.

The Celtics arrived in Miami Tuesday but opted to take the day off from practice and study film.  They had a shoot around Wednesday morning to prepare for tonight’s game.

Reports have Shaq out for Game 5 which should come as no surprise.

Rondo will play . . . of course. As pointed out here, Rondo would play with one good arm and one good leg, the good arm tied behind his back and the good leg in a cast.

Heart and Pride will have to carry the Celtics through this game:  they are hurt, fatigued and suffer from tired, aging legs.  But they've got some Celtic Pride left in them, and there's no quit in these guys.

We will need a strong bounce back game from KG, more like the KG from Game 3, then the ghost of kg that we saw in Game 5.

Again, can they protect the rock?  The C’s turned the ball over 18 times leading to 28 Miami points in Game 4.  Protect the ball or lose the game -- it's that simple.

Intensity must match intensity.  We saw the Lakers get humiliated when they quit on their coach and their fans.  I believe our Celtics will fight to the finish and go down in flames if they have to go down.

But wait just a minute, it’s not like the Celtics haven’t won a road game or two this season, especially when they were between a hard place and a harder place.

Must win situation:  coming up.

This is the kind of effort the C's will need to night:  let it all hang out and just go crazy!

Let it all hang out and just go crazy!
