Be Strong, Panic Not, & Man Up

Some Celtic fans need to Man-up and get over themselves.  I just visited a forum, BDC Front Burner, where too many (so called) fans have basically given up and conceded the series to the Heat.  They are in a very flustered State-of-Panic and are in the process of blowing up the team and throwing Doc and Danny under the bus.  All in their vivid imagination.

They write threads like Fire Doc or Fire Danny, Trade Rondo, or Blow Up the Big Three.  Let me quote an actual thread title:  This All Started When Posey was Let Go -- I'm not making any of this up, it gets even crazier than that amid the panic and flattened egos of some mis-guided, I guess we can refer to them, in the aggregate, as "fans" since the term stems from the word "fanatic".  But let's be kind to them.

If it wasn't so sad it would be laughable or is it laughable because it’s so sad – I haven’t decided yet.

It’s way too early to write the Celtic’s 2011 obituary.  As the saying goes, the series hasn't begun until one team wins on the road.  The Celtics have come back before from being down 0 -2, and though the odds are long, they are by no means insurmountable.  Not with this great team.

As important as it is for the Celtics team to do some soul searching and change its mental approach for Game 3, it’s equally important for some (so called) fans to quit whining as if  the team’s two losses were meant as a personal affront to you and your self-esteem, and keep supporting the team, especially when they are down.

Everyone goes through good times and bad times: good friends are there to slap us on the back when we do well and to support and help us when we do badly.  So let it be with this great Celtic team that has given us so much enjoyment.

I guess this is where the fair-weather fans get off, right here.

True Blue Celtic Fans fasten your seat-belts, it may be a bumpy ride, but we’re coming along.
